Its CE Level A certification under the EN 17092 standard certifies real abrasion protection, backed by level 2 cell-type protectors at shoulders and elbows — lightweight, flexible and highly absorbent. The level 1 certified back protector comes included as standard, something many competitor models charge for separately.

The water-resistant fabric keeps you dry on rainy days without needing an additional membrane. The inner thermal lining is removable to adapt to temperature: in for winter, out for summer. Its design, adjustable at multiple points, lets it fit different body shapes with full comfort in the riding position.

What does CE Level A certification mean?

The EN 17092 standard sets out three certification levels for motorcycle garments: AA (the highest), A (intermediate) and B (basic). The Aquiles 2 is certified at Level A, meaning it passes the abrasion, tear and seam resistance tests required for real motorcycle use. It is certified protection, not merely declared.

Cell-type protectors are protectors made up of cells of viscoelastic material that absorb and distribute impact. They are lighter and more flexible than traditional rigid protectors. Level 2 is the highest protection level under the EN 1621-1 standard — they absorb significantly more impact energy than level 1.
It has a water-resistant treatment on the outer fabric, which protects it in moderate rain. It does not have a removable waterproof membrane like three-layer models, so in heavy or prolonged rain it can end up soaking through. For full waterproofing in any condition, the Heracles or Tulkas models are the best option.

The Heracles is a three-layer jacket with a fully waterproof WaterProof membrane and a three-independent-layer system — more versatile and more waterproof. The Aquiles 2 is a 2-layer jacket that is easier to use, with level 2 protectors (higher in level than those of the Heracles) and CE Level A certification. If you prioritise full waterproofing, go for the Heracles; if you prioritise certified protection level, go for the Aquiles 2.

Yes, it’s an All Season jacket. In summer you remove the inner thermal lining and the jacket becomes lighter. It doesn’t have open mesh panels like the Icaro, so in very intense summer heat ventilation is more limited. It’s the ideal option for spring, autumn and mild winter.
